Day three of one week devotions.
I thank God for you, that is for giving you the grace to come these far.
As God’s word says.

Zechariah 4
[6]Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts.

So far we have looked at two P’s that is purpose and person in our key Scripture’s. We can see that the very first time the name of Jesus is introduced in Mary’s life it’s introduced with purpose behind it. One thing that I love about the way the angel Gabriel’s words to Mary is that he tells her( You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus) Mary was to conceive Jesus through the Power of the Holy Spirit.
(Imagine what God will birth through you because Jesus is in you)

My purpose and your’s in life is found when we are IN Jesus Christ.
The other thing we looked at was Person; from our three P’s and we see that Jesus identified Himself as the Way, the Truth and the Life. Something to note is that we relate to the person of Jesus through relationship and that’s how we get to KNOW Him more Intimately (Deeper).

In the day’s of the Disciple’s Jesus walked (had a relationship) with them and in our day’s Jesus is walking (has a relationship) with us through the Holy Spirit.

Point to note:
The Name Jesus in us reveals our purpose in earth.
The Person of Jesus we get to know Him through relationship with Him and I love the fact that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life so if you have lost either one of these three (Way,Truth,Life) I want to encourage you that you will find them in Christ Jesus.

Definitions:
Know:
To be certain or sure about
To be acquainted or familiar with; to have encountered
To have knowledge of.
Knowing – (Webster’s 1828 Dictionary)
1. Having clear and certain perception of.
2. a. Skillful; well informed; well instructed; as a knowing man/ woman.

Key Scripture’s.
Luke 1:31 , John 14:6, Philippians 2:5-11 NLT.

You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.
Luke 1:31 NLT
(Purpose)

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
John 14:6 NLT
(Person)

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges ; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:5‭-‬11 NLT
(Power)

The three P’s in our key Scripture’s are purpose, person, power.

1. Purpose:
Is a target, goal, an aim to be reached.
The reason why something is done or it’s done in a particular way.

Name:
A person, Reputation or also A unique identifier.

2. Person:
A single human being, the physical human body, seen as distinct from the mind, character.

How do we build our Relationship then with the person of Jesus?

1. Holy Spirit
He is the third person in the God head as seen from Genesis.
Genesis 1
[26]God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.

And also Jesus promised to send Him to us after He went to heaven.

John 14:16-18
[16]And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever–
[17]The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.
[18]I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.

The Holy Spirit is the Key for us to have a relationship with God, that is [Father,Son,Holy Spirit] for He lives in us when we are born again. For we are meant to relate with God as three in one.

2. Prayer:
At the cross when Jesus died for our sins, the temple curtains were torn in half which indicated that God had( He has already given us, not will give us) given us entrace into His Presence at any time of the day, month and year, can you imagine these! And how we enter His Presence is by Prayers.

One thing that God has kept in my spirit for some few day’s now regarding prayer is that I should pray until something BREAKS! that is if you are struggling in any area.
Our prayers are powerful even when you seem to see nothing happening physically but spiritually walls are coming down. Something else to note is when fear and discouragement starts to creep up on you, immediately stop what you were doing and pray to God concerning that issue or need, and ask God for peace and Grace over it.

In conclusion, we close with to the way Jesus taught His disciple’s to pray because it’s a basic (the foundation) Truth about prayer.

Matthew 6:5-13
[5]Also when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by people. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already.
[6]But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.
[7]And when you pray, do not heap up phrases (multiply words, repeating the same ones over and over) as the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard for their much speaking.
[8]Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
[9]Pray, therefore, like this: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name.
[10]Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
[11]Give us this day our daily bread.
[12]And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven (left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have given up resentment against) our debtors.
[13]And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
